THE EDGE

Home to many University of Sheffield students, The Edge is located at the heart of Endcliffe just outside the city centre. The purpose built conference and accommodation complex is a well equipped modern building, featuring accommodation for up to 3,600 people.

Having been used every year, the venue is well known to many of the staff who thoroughly enjoy their stay in the accommodation.

How to get there

Via Car 

From the north, south and east (M1, M18)

Approach Sheffield on the M1 and leave the motorway at Junction 33. Take the A630 exit to Sheffield (Centre) / Rotherham.

At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Sheffield Pkwy/A630. Follow for 5 miles.

Use the right 2 lanes to turn slightly right onto Derek Dooley Way/A57.Follow for 0.7 miles.

At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Corporation St/A61.

Take a slight left onto Corporation St/B6539. Then another slight left onto W Bar Green/B6539.

At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Broad Ln/B6539. Follow for 0.4 miles.

At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Brook Hill/A57. This will continue onto Fulwood Road. Follow for 1 mile.

The Edge will be signposted as ‘The Endcliffe Village’ and you should turn left onto Endcliffe Crescent.

From the west (A57 Snake Pass)

Follow the ‘City Centre’ signs. Towards the end of Manchester Road (A57), turn right into Shore Lane.

At the bottom, turn left and take the first right onto Endcliffe Crescent.

via Train

Regular services operate between Sheffield and London St Pancras (2 ¼ hours), Birmingham (1 ¼ hours), Leeds (1 hour), Manchester (1 hour) and Nottingham (1 hour). The Sheffield bus interchange is a short walk away from the train station.

via Bus

via Taxi

There are taxi ranks at Sheffield Train Station and at City Hall. The journey to The Edge can take up to 20 minutes at busy times and you can expect to pay around £8.
